Be the first to hear a preview of our new music education program, Celebrate America!, that we will present in schools across the region in person and virtually. Our music education program ties into STEM/STEAM education by creating connections between science and arts in the classroom.

American music is a vibrant tapestry woven from diverse threads of Native American, European, and African musical traditions.  From early colonial folk music and religious hymns to the rise of jazz, blues, and rock and roll, American music has influenced music globally. 

The Pennsylvania Philharmonic will perform excerpts from iconic music such as Copland’s Hoedown, Joplin’s The Entertainer, selections from The Gershwins’ Porgy & Bess, music by Duke Ellington, Bernstein’s Overture from West Side Story and more!
